Class Changes for Saturday, June 2, 2018
Carling Heights Optimist Community Centre is holding Staff training for their summer programs on Friday, June 1, 2018 and Saturday, June 2, 2018. We will not have access to our regular room at the Centre. The Children and Adult classes on Saturday will be on the Basketball Court outside for those wishing to attend.
Outdoor Classes in June
All Adult and Children’s Aikido Classes from Monday, June 18, 2018 to Friday, June 29, 2018 will be held outdoors in McMahen Park. The Carling Heights Centre will be carrying out their annual maintenance program and our regular room will not be available. Classes resume indoors on Saturday, June 30, 2018.

Saturday sessions listed above are reserved for Black Belts only and will be held during the second hour of the adult classes (11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) There will be no regular Kyu Belt instruction offered during the second class. The 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. sessions will continue as usual for all Aiki Budo Centre members.
Kagami-Biraki 2018 in Mississauga
Sendokan Aikido Dojo in Missiissauga is holding a Kagami-Biraki (New Year’s Training and Celebration) following the tradition of the Yoshinkan Honbu Dojo in Japan where instructors take turns teaching basic techniques. All 150 basic techniques are taught over the course of 10 to 14 days followed by a celebration. This year Sendokan Dojo will be hosting 8 of the highest ranked Yoshinkan Aikido instructors in Canada for their final 3 days of training and celebration. Sensei Jaimie Sheppard will be one of the 8 instructors at the event scheduled for February 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

Sensei Sheppard Announces Last Class of the Year…
Keiko Osame – Last practice of the year will be Saturday, December 23,2017. Sensei Sebastiao will be teaching our last class for 2017.
Aiki Budo Centre Year End Party 2017
Mark your calendar. Our Aiki Budo Centre Year End Party will be on Saturday Dec 2nd, 9:30-12noon and takes the place of regular classes that day. All club members and their families are welcome to attend. More information to follow.

Our regular room is not available tomorrow; The City of London has booked the whole building . Class is going to be held on the basketball court in front of the Centre tomorrow (JUNE 3).
Kyu Test May 27, 2017
Sensei Gruninger has announced a Kyu Test for Saturday, May 27, 2017 with an alternate date on Tuesday May 30, 2017.
Test Fees are due May 20, 2017 along with your completed Test Form. Be sure to identify your testing partner or notify Sensei before test day, if you need a testing partner.
